It feels as though I have been lifted into the air, spun around a bit, then dropped into a paddock, narrowly avoiding a cow pat. To say that life living rurally is very different, after decades of being in a bustling city, is an understatement.

But different in a good way, it is just taking some adjustment. The challenge is now not to find ways to relax but how to stop being so relaxed that nothing gets done. I am totally ashamed to admit this, please don’t tell, but It has been known for Jo and I to sneak into the office in our PJs. Not a professional look or a habit to adopt.

As an energy sensitive soul, like many of our dear customers, I find the energy of the city subconsciously knocks me about. If I don’t wear my Nu-Me pendant and bolster this with a Natti, Chi-shell or Ki-Bal when I am going some where with lots of Wi-Fi, EMF and people I find it hard to cope physically, mentally and emotionally. Totally stressful. My protection makes my energetic environment manageable.

Even though at home and around the eco-village I don’t have those stressors now, when I shop in small town Kaiwaka Wi-Fi is broadcast onto the street from the tiny library for public to use. So, living in the country is not all rosy, EMF protection is still very much needed.

Not protection from people’s energy so much. People have time – to chat, or at least acknowledge that you are a fellow human with a nod, wave or smile. It is so refreshing after being surrounded by an eyes -down-phone-gazing-nothing-else exists populace.

Noise, speed, pollution, disassociation, disregard, road rage, lack of community, personal isolation and the whole general mix of packing people and industry into a confined city space creates a collective energy. When living with it we can take this energy as the norm, but it takes its toll. Stress.

The collective hostility and negativity this generates energetically are very destructive, not only affecting those sensitive to it, but even those consciously unaware. Your bad moods and feeling out of sorts, unexplained anger and bubbling frustration have a cause. A source. Collective energy is powerful and can be either positive or negative. It affects how you deal with and live your life.

Being conscious of your surroundings and how this affects you is crucial. I realize now that I wasn’t always. I mostly pushed on, didn’t take care of myself always. Got sick. Got better. Then pushed on some more. Vicious circle. How many of us do just that?

I know that I am blessed in being here now, albeit downsized into a one and a half bed cottage, with a mountain of stuff from our previous life to sort and dispose of, but I can wander out into a big green space, although I’m aware not everyone can or wants to do that. They may be tied to the city. They may enjoy the buzz of city life; I understand that cities can have their positive vibe too.

But please dear reader whether you live rural, semi-rural in town or a metropolis be conscious of what surrounds you. Of what affects your health, moods, emotions and spirit and take all the appropriate action needed to care for yourself. You need to accept that you are very precious.
