Sometimes life seems a battle to retain what we want. What we believe in. It makes me mad that I have no choice in so many things that I know affect me adversely. That I have to fight ignorance, that surrounds me like a brick wall that seems insurmountable. Cell phone towers spring up and we have no say in it. Our neighbours 24/7 Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi in every public place we visit – can’t do anything about. But smart meters we can use our choice – mostly. It may be a hell of a fight but it is our right to not have one. We get lots of mail on this subject. If you want to have your say we, and our readers, would like to hear from you.
Thank you for your wonderful product, of which I have many! Was very interested in Diane’s story about Mercury. We had exactly the same experience with them – although we weren’t threatened by their ‘Retention Team” (whatever their job is!!) But they did ring to ask us to reconsider as we’d been with then for 23 years – so I told them exactly why we were leaving!
They were MOST unhelpful. They have obviously been primed to be completely intransigent about the removal of smart meters.
So we’re with Contact now too, since 2014, and are pleased both with their service and with their prompt payment discounts. I.E. Auckland.
Raw chocolate: Beware: It’s easy to make and addictive
Indulge yourself with this divine chocolate which can also be made with non-raw ingredients if, like me, you want to make it immediately from what you can gather from your cupboards. If using Raw you mustn’t heat them over 46 degrees C or they will be no longer raw!
165ml coconut oil
¼ cup honey
I tsp vanilla extract
½ cacao powder
Silicone ice-cube tray
Melt coconut oil and honey in separate sealed jars placed in a bowl of hot water.
Then combine the honey and oil in a small bowl placed in the larger bowl of hot water to keep them runny.
Whisk and add vanilla.
Continue to whisk slowly while slowly adding the cacao powder.
Spoon into the moulds
Put in the freezer for 30 – 60 minutes
When firm remove from the mould and put into an airtight container where they probably won’t stay for long.
