Can antidepressants help EMF symptoms?

Even though EMF is now a mainstream subject it seems that many doctors are still in the dark about how serious it is and send their electrosensitive patients away with a prescription for antidepressants after a diagnosis that their EMF symptoms are psychosomatic.

It was while watching an interview on YouTube  that had had twenty thousand views on Electrosensitivity that I became aware that antidepressants were being commonly used as a solution for Electrosensitivity. The electrosensitive interviewee admitted that she had tried antidepressants to cope with her Electrosensitivity which were given to her by her doctor because she considered her condition to be psychosomatic. They didn’t help she said.

The interviewer then casually replied that he took Prozac, and it was probably different strokes for different folks. Knowing how much suffering is caused by EMF and Wireless I found his attitude dismissive. I didn’t watch any more.

I was appalled that there was a young electrosensitive woman who couldn’t lead what is considered a normal life and the interviewer talked about antidepressants as indifferently as if merely talking of a solution to overindulgence.

But then this is also often the attitude from the medical profession too. Sadly. And so antidepressants are prescribed.

What antidepressants can do to a brain that is not depressed?

A study shows that there is new reason to be cautious about using popular antidepressants in people who are not really depressed as it may cause subtle changes in brain structure and function.  Read the UNSW Medical article here

Is electrical sensitivity real?

A search of the internet shows how much bias there is still about EMF claiming that there is no scientific proof that EMF is in any way harmful. This is a lie as there is lots of research that has been done to prove that electro-sensitivity is very real. It is only pulling the wool over the eyes of those that don’t want to see any way.

Electrosensitivity is very real. It is not psychosomatic, nor are suffers in any way strange or different. We are all affected by EMF it is just that some people are more acutely aware of it than others.

Those sensitive to wireless and electricity deserve to be taken seriously and given as much practical help and consideration as possible.

What is Electrosensitivity?

Electrosensitivity is a condition when EMF intolerance is so acute that it causes severe physical conditions and can stop the suffer leading a normal life.

What is Electrosensitivity syndrome?

Electromagnetic hypersensitivity or electro hypersensitivity (EHS) were the names used in 1991 by William Rea to identify the clinical condition of patients reporting health effects while being exposed to an electromagnetic field.

What causes Electrosensitivity?

Any source of EMF and wireless technology can contribute to Electrosensitivity and with the increase of technology in general this condition is now rapidly growing with the threat that Electromagnetic hypersensitivity becomes a pandemic.

Unfortunately, however much we try to limit our personal use of EMF emitting devices we can not control the amount we are subjected to in public places, by our neighbours and even in the great outdoors. Other than being on a desert island, in the middle of the ocean, there is no escaping EMF exposure. This is why we need energy protection.

What are the symptoms of EMF sensitivity?

The symptoms include but are not exclusive to:

  • mild to severe headaches,
  • nausea,
  • insomnia,
  • eye irritations,
  • tinnitus
  • dizziness,
  • skin rashes,
  • facial swelling,
  • fatigue,
  • joint pains,
  • buzzing/ringing in the ears,
  • abdominal pain,
  • breathing difficulties,
  • irregular heartbeat,
  • anxiety/panic attacks
  • depression,
  • balance problems,
  • paralysis,
  • poor memory/concentration,
  • seizures

Is there a cure for Electrosensitivity?

Unfortunately, the answer is no. But fortunately, those that are electro sensitive can take preventative steps to avoid the ultimate damage that EMF exposure causes like cancer and other life-threatening medical conditions. These are  not scare-mongering outcomes, as we are often led to believe, but facts that extensive scientific research has proven.

To cope with Sensitivity to electrical fields and wireless technology it may mean major lifestyle changes or can simply mean using efficient EMF solution and some common sense like switching Wi-Fi routers off when not in use.

Malls and often cafes are strong sources of EMF and Wireless so limit the time spent in them. Get out into nature but don’t be fooled that it will be EMF and wireless free, so still make sure that you are protected. Walk bare foot on grass and the beach if you can – it is grounding. Just a few minutes a day can be beneficial.

And know that although your sensitivity may restrict you it doesn’t define you, and by taking care of yourself you can still enjoy life.
